Rodney Welch

Rodney Welch, the founding partner of Welch & Company, CPAs, PSC began his accounting career in 1967 with a regional North Carolina firm after graduating from Western Kentucky University. While working in North Carolina, Rodney gained valuable experience in a variety of areas. He brought that knowledge and experience back to Kentucky in 1976 to help open a branch office of a Louisville-based firm.

Rodney is a member of both the AICPA and Kentucky Society of CPAs. He is involved in various capacities at his home church. He also enjoys golf, home improvement projects, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Stephanie Welch

Stephanie Welch joined the firm in 1987 as a part-time bookkeeper as she attended college. After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University she joined the firm as a full-time staff accountant.

Stephanie is a member of both the AICPA and Kentucky Society of CPAs. She is involved in adult choirs in the Lexington area. She also enjoys gardening, baking, travelling, and spending time with her husband and two sons.

Gwen House

Gwen House joined the firm in 2019 as a part-time intern while studying at Georgetown College. After graduating from Georgetown College in 2020, she joined the firm as full-time staff account.

Gwen is currently studying for the CPA exam, having fulfilled the education and work requirements. She is a member of Phi Beta Lambda and Omicron Delta Kappa. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.

Adam Rousey

Adam Rousey graduated from Asbury University in 2018.  He is our payroll specialist, as well as the behind-the-scenes man at Welch & Company, handling everything from Client Portals to time and billing.

He enjoys classical music, coffee, and reading.  He also volunteers in his church band and choir.

Jessilyn Singletary

Jessilyn Singletary joined Welch & Company in late 2023. She previously worked for another accounting firm. She is the public face and voice of the firm.

She lives in Lexington with her husband and son.

College Interns

We are believers in giving back to our accounting community. We do this in part by hiring seasonal tax support. College interns help support our Tax Accountants and CPAs. They may contact you directly or send emails on our behalf requesting engagement letters or other tax documents.
